Job Summary:

The Shoppe Custard & Grill in West Bend, WI is looking for an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our back-of-house team! We proudly serve premium frozen custard and hot made-to-order grill favorites, we’re not fast food, we’re better. With 450+ reviews and a 4.5 Google rating, we’re aiming for 5 stars, and we want your help to get us there!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the kitchen crew and creating a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
  • Making sure every burger, basket, and scoop of custard meets our high standards.
  • Managing inventory, ordering, and deliveries so the kitchen is always ready to go.
  • Handling scheduling and ensuring every shift is fully staffed.
  • Training, coaching, and supporting team members (and hiring when we need new talent).
  • Keeping an eye on costs and minimizing waste while maximizing quality.
  • Ensuring the kitchen stays spotless and compliant with all food safety standards.
  • Stepping in where needed to keep service smooth and guests happy.‬‭

‭Qualifications & Skills:

✅ Minimum 2 year previous experience in kitchen management or food service leadership.
✅ A hands-on leader who knows how to motivate and build young a strong team.
✅ Great communication and problem-solving skills.
✅ Solid knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
✅ Comfort with scheduling, ordering, and basic admin work.
✅ Ability to keep cool in a fast-paced environment.
✅ Mandatory to be able to smile, laugh, have fun while yet maintaining a professional tone.
✅ Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.‭
